THE STATUS OF OUR LIFESTYLE AND HEALTH!

THE STATUS OF OUR LIFESTYLE AND HEALTH!

The changing lifestyle over the past 70 years is exactly the opposite of what the trinity for healthy living used to be.
Unconsciously, we shifted from an active life, in nature and natural eating, to an inactive life, unhealthy eating, and
almost no contact with nature, which took its toll on the experience of stress.

In the last 70 years, a harmful and deadly lifestyle mix has developed, leading to over 50% of the population now having a chronic condition. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as heart disease, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, and diabetes are now the cause of almost 71% of deaths worldwide.

The prevalence of chronic conditions increases with age, and with an aging population in many parts of the world, the total number of people with one or more chronic conditions is also rising. At Livewell we try to inform people the essence of a Healthy Lifestyle, that’s why we have the motto: “Live, Eat, Brains and Exercise”. As a Behaviour Change and Strength and Conditioning Specialist, it is my job to motivate and instruct people safely how to (start) exercising. In gyms and health clubs, 80% of the clients do not know how to workout effectively and safely. At Livewell, The Exercise Specialists Doug and Frits level this activity as to be a part of our Healthy Lifestyle Journey.

Whether you come to Livewell for Chiropractic Care, Nutrition Consultancy and/or a Safe and Effective Exercise Routine, we are here to help you on your Lifestyle journey, something you start but never ends!

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my back hurt more in the morning?

Morning back pain often occurs because your body has been inactive for several hours. Joint stiffness, arthritic changes, muscle tightness, reduced mobility, or underlying movement restrictions may become more noticeable after a night’s sleep.

Is morning back pain caused by my mattress?

Sometimes, but not always. While an unsupportive mattress may contribute to discomfort, recurring morning stiffness can also be related to joint function, muscle tightness, previous injuries, or how your body moves throughout the day. Even the best mattress in the world will not correct spinal problems.

Why does my back feel better after I start moving?

As you begin walking and moving, circulation increases, muscles warm up, and your joints begin moving through their normal range of motion. Inflammatory byproducts that accumulate in the non-moving joints start to diminish which often helps reduce stiffness and improve comfort.

Can Chiropractic Care help with morning back pain?

Yes. Most patients report substantial changes in their mobility in the morning and throughout the day. A Chiropractor can assess how your spine, joints, and body are moving to help identify what may be contributing to your morning stiffness and develop an individualized treatment plan.
