Practicing Massage
Therapy in Ontario

Massage therapy has been a regulated health care field in Ontario since 1919. Each province has their own set of rules and regulations regarding the practice of massage therapy. In Ontario, massage therapists must meet the requirements set by the College of Massage Therapists in Ontario. The first step on the journey to becoming a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) is to enroll in a college program to earn a diploma in massage therapy. As a part of this program, you’ll need complete hands-on experience supervised by a professional RMT. Once the hands-on training is completed, certification examinations must be taken and passed to become licensed.
At LiveWell Health, all our massage therapists are professional RMTs with years of experience working with patients. You can trust that you are in good hands with our team of friendly and dedicated RMTs.
